The Saddlery Training Centre provides affordable
and accessible training courses specially designed for small rural
businesses. All training is based on the key skills and techniques
that will improve productivity. The course content is delivered
under realistic working conditions.
Courses are designed for apprentices and saddlers who wish to update
or enhance their skills or to extend their range of products. The
courses are not suitable for beginners.
Who can apply?
The Open Courses are aimed at saddlers, apprentices,
improvers and leather- workers who are employed in the saddlery
or leather trade.
How is the training delivered?
The training takes the form of short intensive
courses therefore minimising any disruption to business. All training
courses are held at The Saddlery Training Centre in Salisbury. The
training is delivered in small groups with normally a maximum of
six trainees. Dates and tuition fees are available on request.
Courses in preparation for the "City & Guilds National
Skill Assessment and Qualification Scheme for the Saddlery Trade"
are also available.
Course Fees
Tuition fees are charged for all Courses,
material costs are dependent on the type of course.
